Fundraising Ideas – to discuss at future meetings:
1) obtain sponsor(s) for a virtual fundraiser. Advise TOA patrons by mail that we have cancelled the event and ask for donations. eg: $100 will be matched with $100/$200 from the sponsors.
2) Online Auction – we would have to obtain items
3) Live Auction Event – auction higher value items live and online. Cory suggested maybe we could make it an event with music …. would have to have some items to auction.
4) Raffle? Cheer for a Year?
Michele advised that she spent $20 for a boost to Facebook Posts. She observed that we had more than 100? people checked out the posts. We now have 15 followers.
SPEAKER: Nancy Stallmach – Big Brothers Big Sisters- Group and School Programs have been cancelled. The Core Program is still going. These are done by telephone/FaceTime etc. Volunteers are continuing to maintain relationship with their Little Sister or Brother.-
Their Fundraisers have been cancelled, however, their sponsors kept their commitment. As such, they raised 1/2 what they usually raise.
*** They are still going ahead with their Raffle. Tickets are $20 each or 6 for $100.
Prizes! First – Two WestJet flights anywhere that WestJet flies from June 11, 2020 to June 11, 2021.
Second – 55” Smart TV
Third – $200 Best Buy Certificate.
